what we keep.
A plain account of what this website collects, why, and for how long.
Statistics without cookies
We count visits to learn which releases people find and where they listen. We do not use cookies, we do not store your IP address and we do not build a profile of you.
For each page we record the page address, the name of the site that sent you (for example a search engine), whether you use a phone, tablet or computer, your country when the network tells us, and clicks on streaming links, pre-saves and previews. To count a visitor once a day, your IP address and browser name are mixed with a random value that changes every day and is then deleted, so a visit today can never be linked to one tomorrow.
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted. Statistics are kept for about 13 months.
The contact and demo form
What you send — your name, email, artist name, links and message — reaches only the team members who handle submissions, and we use your email only to reply. To stop abuse we store a scrambled code derived from your IP address with the submission, used only to limit how many messages one sender can send per hour; the address itself is never stored. Ask us and we delete your submission.
The newsletter
We keep your email address, the page where you signed up and when you confirmed. To stop abuse, each sign-up attempt also leaves scrambled codes of your IP address and email address for one day. You are added only after you click the link in our confirmation email; unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your address from our list.
Other services on the site
Typefaces load from Fontshare. Release pages with a Spotify link show Spotify’s own player, which loads from Spotify when the page opens; their policies apply to it. Streaming and ticket links take you to those services.
In your browser
We remember whether you have already seen the opening animation, so it plays in full only once. Nothing else is stored on your device.
